Yes. Any gas, diesel, or hybrid car sold in the U.S. or Canada since 1996 has a standard OBD-II port under the dash, and FixMyWhip plugs right in. Electric-only vehicles aren't supported yet.
No. Your FixMyWhip scanner works straight out of the box. We will offer an optional paid subscription in the future, but it isn't required for core use.
All pre-orders will ship by December 2025. We'll email you progress updates from the factory right up to the day we drop your package at the carrier.
